The Future Of Yoga

Many wonder as technology progresses exponentially, as we enter the 2020s and artificial intelligence is at the brink of becoming an intrical part of  how we plan and organize our lives. So the question many people now ask based on this: what is the future of yoga?

Covid

If there has been one event in the last few years which has had the most tremendous effect on yoga and yoga teacher training is Covid

Prior to covid-19, yoga organizations only recognized in person yoga teacher training. It was the benchmark of what made yoga very much a human based activity, industry and profession. But covid change.

With the closing of yoga studios worldwide, the need to offer yoga  was something that technology filled.

As the world is coming out of Covid restrictions now,  many of the studios that survived now offer the option streaming there  in person yoga classes as an option.

As well yoga teacher trainings  being held now in person again; are also being held online still and some are doing a combination of in-person and online as enhanced trainings.

Technology

Technology specifically online meeting platforms like Skype and Google Meet, have been the dominance tools offering yoga training. Artificial intelligence is something that people wonder if that will change yoga.

Specifically artificial intelligence will replace humans on a mass but the need for counselors, therapists and yoga teachers will always remain the same.

Humans can  really offer the spiritual aspect of yoga, because every individual yoga teacher has a unique take on being a human and overcoming one’s own personal challenges as a human.

Always Be A Need

Expanding on the technology paragraph above, as technology allows us more free time, the demand more spiritual activities like yoga as people will be more inclined with a free time to want to figure out who they are and what their values are in this consciousness.

The future of yoga in many ways will not change much; how it is offered will change, but it’s essential way is done will always ne done the same.

People will do yoga poses, people always sit and do pranayama, always sit  to do mantras. And lastly people will always seek natural ways  to  better themselves through Ayurveda.
