1. Website & Information Use

Information on this website is provided for general use. While care is taken to ensure accuracy, Karma Yoga makes no guarantees regarding completeness or error-free content.

Karma Yoga may update website content, pricing, schedules, or policies at any time. Use of this website constitutes acceptance of the current terms.

Karma Yoga is not responsible for damages arising from website use, including technical issues, external links, or electronic transmission risks.

2. Jurisdiction & Governing Law

Karma Yoga operates from Victoria, British Columbia. All agreements are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Victoria, BC is the exclusive venue for legal matters. Karma Yoga is a division of BC 1206755 Ltd & 10464791 Canada Limited.

3. Assumption of Risk & Liability

Participation in classes, trainings, or programs is voluntary and undertaken at the participant’s own risk.

Karma Yoga and its agents are not liable for injury, illness (including COVID-19), loss, death, or damages arising from participation or presence in any Karma Yoga space.

Karma Yoga is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or personal expenses related to attendance.

4. Registration, Enrollment & Payments

All prices are in Canadian dollars
Fees must be paid in advance unless authorized
Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment
A deposit may be required to reserve a space
Payment plans must be approved in writing

Failure to complete payment obligations may result in removal from a program without refund.

5. Refunds, Credits & Transfers

Tuition and class purchases are non-refundable
Credits may be issued at Karma Yoga’s discretion with written request prior to program start
Credits must be used within one year
Breach of conduct or policy voids any credit

Programs require minimum enrollment. If enrollment is insufficient, programs may be postponed, combined, or rescheduled. Transfers may be offered.

6. Program Delivery & Scheduling

Karma Yoga reserves the right to:

adjust schedules
change instructors
change venues
reschedule programs
limit or modify delivery formats

Venues are private professional studios. Final locations are confirmed prior to program start.

7. Certification & Evaluation

Certificates are issued upon successful completion of all program requirements, including:

attendance
participation
assignments
evaluations

Karma Yoga may require government-issued ID for certification verification. Evaluation timelines are determined by Karma Yoga.

8. Attendance & Conduct

Participants must follow all studio rules, including:

punctuality
respectful behavior
quiet conduct
no disruptive activity
no weapons, substances, or harassment

Failure to comply may result in removal or expulsion without refund.

Lost items are not the responsibility of Karma Yoga.

9. Code of Conduct

Participants must treat staff, students, and property respectfully. Prohibited behavior includes:

bullying
harassment
dishonesty
threats
violence
plagiarism
disruptive conduct

Serious violations may result in immediate expulsion without reinstatement.

10. Teacher Training–Specific Terms

Teacher training students:

must sign a student agreement
may not enroll in competing programs concurrently
must meet passing criteria
may be required to complete karma service

Conditional passes or accommodations may be offered at Karma Yoga’s discretion.

11. Reviews, Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure

Students agree to maintain confidentiality regarding:

other students
shared experiences
internal materials

Reviews or public commentary may only be made with written permission.

12. Scholarships & Discounts

Scholarships and discounts are granted at Karma Yoga’s discretion and may require service contributions.

Recipients agree not to compete with Karma Yoga without written consent.

13. Intellectual Property

Course materials, videos, publications, and content are used under educational allowances or licensed appropriately.

Karma Yoga may use student work for educational or promotional purposes.

14. Media & Recording

Karma Yoga may record audio, video, or images for safety, quality, or promotional purposes.

Participants may not record or distribute content without written permission.
