Comox, next to Courtenay, is a city in the Comox Valley Regional District. It is 100 km north of Nanaimo. It is a Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Armed Forces. The Valley has an overall population of 100,000.

The Filberg Festival

Happens on BC Day long weekend. The event will showcase 3 days of  music outdoors artists and many special guests! It is also renowned market features top crafters, jewelers, painters, and artisans.

Comox Museum and Archives 

The Comox Air Force Museum commemorates the role and history of 19 Wing, and documents significant achievements in coastal military aviation history.

Trips from Comox

Strathcona Provincial Park 

The oldest provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. It is home to the Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Reserve, established in 2000, and includes three watersheds in the western area of the park; this happened due to large protests in the area to preserve it.

Campbell River 

Just 30 kilometres north of Comox,  with 35,000 people. It claims to fame as “the Salmon Capital of the World”. It is also situated on the beautiful Quadra and the Discovery Islands.
