Yoga Teacher Training To Become Enlightenment?
Enlightenment has no simple definition. Like yoga teacher training (ytt) it is a journey.
It does not matter where you live be it Vancouver, Victoria , Kamloops, Banff, Jasper, Calgary, Edmonton, Hamilton, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, St Johns, enlightenment is dropping the ego; the desires, the judgment, the material wants of this world and finding your inner connection to your higher power.
Enlightenment has in my mind become a buzzword. Like in the video, “Enlighten Up”, it was very hard to find the one true definition of the word.
However, all of the speakers and those who were interviewed somehow shared the same sense of definition: It is a path you are on to finding your inner connection to your spiritual self and to God.
Enlightenment & Obsessing
We become so much part of our physical being and into our minds of thinking and obsessing. Most of us get caught up in the world and all the go-ons that we do not live in the moment: mindfulness.
We live in the past or future of what may happen. Enlightenment is the flip side of this.
Enlightenment is a path that is not an easy path. A person does not say, I am going to become Enlightened and they do. It is a daily practice of finding the Now, using their senses of what is happening right now and with that, we begin to practice being with ourselves, finding that inner connection to the divine, the Universe, to God, to our spiritual self.
Enlightenment & Ego
The enlightened mindset is truly dropping the Ego of ourselves and connecting to our soul. To get the enlightened mindset is to become one with Now.
One with your spiritual self and your inner knowing and truth. Enlightenment is something many of us wish to achieve and it is a confusing journey.
Like doing yoga or a ytt, enlightenment is not an easy path, it is facing truths that perhaps we don’t want to face, it takes practice and commitment.
No one can teach us Enlightenment because I believe Enlightenment is an energy we create within ourselves.
With practice, we create an understanding of the world and why people act the way they do. We become aware of people’s judgements and people’s own weaknesses and desires that perhaps make them do things they are not proud of. Just like us.
Greed
As we become more aware and connected, we drop the Ego’s emotions of anger, resentment, jealousy, greed and getting hooked into negative thought patterns.
By slowly becoming aware and dropping these emotions we begin to allow ourselves to heal. We slowly become more and more enlightened.
Enlightenment is, I believe at the heart of it all, Love.
