This Is The Ancient Practice Of Yoga
Throughout my yoga journey of self-knowledge, I am continually learning what yoga means to me in my life. Each day it can offer a different benefit to my wholesome self.
Where I am right now, yoga offers me a chance to be present and focus on my innermost consciousness. It is a time where one can become present at any moment to bring attention to their deepest inner self.
Yoga allows for myself to tap into this presence while dealing with life’s inevitable stressors. When practicing this ancient philosophy, it can provide the opportunity for a connection with something greater than yourself.
In Canada Vancouver, Victoria , Kamloops, Banff, Jasper, Calgary, Edmonton, Hamilton, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, St Johns, or abroad in London, Greece, Bali, Thailand, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, New Zealand, Hawaii – the yoga means union, to unite the universe and self. We are all one. By practicing Pranayama with various movements in the body we have a chance to experience this real connection.
Yoga can offer a different definition to each of us who practices it, portraying its appeal to many. To me, I like to envision it as my backbone.
It is my chance to dive into the energies of my body, discovering their connections to each other and the world surrounding me. It allows me to awaken the connection between my mind, body and spirit to reveal true wholeness and self-understanding.
The linking between these bring harmony and alignment in the body, something I strive for with each practice. The feeling is unexplainable when the body is harmonized. There is nothing greater I love than feeling my body flow through a vinyasa, to quiet my mind.
With time and practice, yoga can reveal the truth of our extraordinary consciousness deep within oneself. It took time for me to understand this. At the beginning, I was practicing yoga for the physical benefits. Now, I practice it as a way of living in peace and harmony.
One must let go of what you thought was true, for the truth to become conscious. With our world being a projection of our thoughts and attitudes it can be easy to become distracted and put down if that is what the mind is thinking.
Yoga offers a quest to fully comprehend the mind and why it thinks certain ways. Yoga helps one face their deepest truths. While being in this journey of self-discovery, pure bliss can take over the body during practice.
The presence of the mind, body and spirit can expand much further than just the physical practice of yoga. Yoga philosophies can be applied to everyday life. Yoga is a way of life allowing society to be present in difficult environments. Connecting the lower self to the higher eternal self.
It may take time and effort to reach this experience and when it happens, authentic self-realization takes place. Binding the gap between the Divine universe and the egoic self.
In The End
Yoga is the chance to discover the mysteries of who we truly are. While discovering these mysteries, the body feels light and pure when practicing yoga. I believe yoga is a way of healing the mind, body and spirit to discover one’s full potential.
