The word enlightenment means different things to different people. In one instance the word refers to the “Age of Enlightenment” of the 17th and 18th centuries, a movement in which people started thinking more factually.
In my opinion I believe that enlightenment is less about science and more about spirituality and energetics.
Enlightenment is a state of consciousness, and a state of consciousness is a certain vibration or frequency.
Wherever you reside be it Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton, Halifax or Montreal, St John’s or even aboard Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Bali, Thailand, New Zealand, London, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Tel Aviv, enlightenment is a constant awareness of the interconnection between yourself and the universe, realizing that you are everything and that everything is you.
Enlightenment is the end of all differences, all otherness and all duality between your soul and the manifest universe. The true realization that you are source energy or as some people call it, God and that everyone else is also a manifestation of God.
Enlightenment is the state of being that is the closest to God that you could ever attain to be.
The path to enlightenment means that you have worked through all the emotional and mental wounds and traumas of your current and past lifetimes. You can obtain this from just doing yoga or a yoga teacher training program.
Enlightened beings have no grudges to hold, no regrets, no unfinished emotional or mental business to attend to.
This includes attaining access to your Akashic records and working through all of the built-up karma from thousands of your lifetimes, including generational karma from your family line possibly going back thousands of years.
Enlightenment means being perfectly at peace with who you are, to be the embodiment of your highest self.
To remove any and all obstacles between you and your highest vibration, to evolve into the 3 dimensional manifestation of your highest, most authentic version of the true you. It is the process of shedding everything that is not the real you.
When you have achieved enlightenment you have embodied a certain energy, an abundant and endless energy of pure bliss. It is my belief that this constant bliss, a vibratory state much higher than pure happiness, would establish an impenetrability to your energy fields.
Other people’s emotional vibrations would no longer alter your own emotional state. You would have complete and genuine empathy and compassion for every single human being, animal, and seemingly ‘non-living’ thing, as all the matter we glimpse with our eyes is a manifestation of God and is therefore perfect and divine.
The effect of this blissful energetic state of being could also apply to situations as well. An enlightened being would be perfectly calm in any and all situations. They would have an understanding that everything happens for a divine reason, nothing is ever a mistake and nothing is a coincidence.
Enlightenment is having a constant awareness of God. Of seeing God in everything we see and everyone we meet. It is the genuine awe of natural beauty, the constant interconnection between all life, the sacredness of experiencing all we are here to experience.
